Ray Tomlinson, 「@」符號

Ray Tomlinson - Wikipedia

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ray_Tomlinson
Raymond Samuel "RayTomlinson (April 23, 1941 – March 5, 2016) was a pioneering American computer programmer who implemented the first email program on the ARPANET system, the precursor to the Internet, in 1971. It was the first system able to send mail between users on different hosts connected to ARPANET.

We use the @ symbol in email and elsewhere thanks to Ray Tomlinson, who has died aged 74. Tom Chatfield looks at the unusual and poetic ways that the world now describes this iconic keyboard character – and how its roots go back to the 1500s.

Image copyrightISTOCK

  Vapor Boomtown

With little regulation, Oklahoma City has become an e-cigarette boomtown where "vapers" flock to vapor shops to buy the smoking alternative products, which include nicotine liquids.
Smoking is falling in most rich countries, but "vaping" is rising. In Europe 7m people are thought to be using e-cigarettes, which vaporise a solution containing nicotine without the toxins from burning tobacco. Sales of e-cigs in America may treble this year, according to figures from Bonnie Herzog of Wells Fargo, a bank http://econ.st/1bMgxzg
